Mixture — মিশ্রণ

Quick answer

Two or more substances mixed without chemical bonding; each keeps its properties, the ratio can vary, and parts separate physically.

Definition

A mixture is two or more substances brought together without any chemical bond forming between them, so each keeps its own properties. Air, soil, milk, and steel are all mixtures. Because nothing is chemically locked, the parts can usually be separated by physical means — filtering, magnet, evaporation, distillation — and the composition can vary: one spoon or three of sugar still gives sugar water. This freedom separates mixtures from compounds.

For example

Mix iron filings with sulphur powder and you get a mixture: a magnet still pulls out the iron. Heat the same mix until it glows, and it becomes the compound iron sulphide, which no magnet can split.
